'Le Flan' by Raoul Olou
A tale of Love, Injustice and Desserts. Raoul Olou is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto, whose work focuses on home, belonging and archiving the mundane. Recently, Olou was awarded the Mayor's Purchase award from the city of Toronto at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair.

"Wash Day" by Jaida Salmon
"Wash Day" follows a young black girl as she spends the day washing, styling, and sometimes fighting with her hair. Jaida Salmon is a 24 year old Sheridan College Animation Graduate with a passion for all things related to art and animation. Growing up with a love for cartoons, film and media she always knew that someday she'd want to work in that field and create content to reach a wide variety of audiences. In the future she hopes to create a miniseries and work on feature animation. Aside from animation she wants to continue studies in art therapy, exploring how we can use art as a process of healing. "I want to create stories that young black girls and boys can find themselves in and relate to. The black experience is not a monolith - there are so many more stories to be told and I can't wait to be a part of that process!"

Assembly Hall is an arts centre dedicated to nurturing and celebrating community, creativity and culture with arts-focused classes, performances and events. The beautifully restored building, which blends history with innovative modern design, is a favourite community-based location for meetings, celebrations and more.
