Feminist Futures
Presented in part with the French Embassy in Canada
Wednesday, October 27 - Friday, October 29, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm nightly.
Feminist Futures puts a spotlight on women digital content creators at this Canadian Film Centre (CFC) screening. Experience six different digital art projections created by CFC alum Lisa Jackson and CFC Fifth Wave business accelerator residents OYA Black Arts Coalition and Digital 55, as they are illuminated on the exterior of buildings and trees on CFC’s property. Plus, enjoy an international creative collaboration between CFC Fifth Wave’s Ava Animation and Visual Arts Inc. from Canada, and Organ Phantom from France—courtesy of the French Embassy in Canada program partnership with CFC Fifth Wave.
About BigArtTO: Explore Art Across The City
Experience art illuminated at BigArtTO, a city-wide public art celebration featuring free access to temporary public artworks projected onto local buildings and landmarks. Created by Toronto artists, the projections will play on a loop so that visitors can arrive at any time. Part of ShowLoveTO.
BigArtTO is the result of a collaboration between the City of Toronto with OCAD University and AVA Animation & Visual Arts Inc.
