ArtworxTO Spotlight: Dylan Shin

Dylan Shin is a 17 year old emerging mixed media and graffiti artist from Toronto. Dylan works in a variety of different media like spray painting, oil, acrylic and graphic lettering. He remembers going to Honest Ed’s in Toronto and enjoying the vintage signs hand painted throughout the store. He likes to fuse realism and abstract concepts to create a dichotomy of contrasting ideas. He began working in the visual arts while in my high school classes and have then moved to art lessons outside of his school, and interning with a mixed media artist to learn as much as he can. It is his goal to attend a Visual Design University program in Toronto (OCAD) upon graduation in June of 2022. ArtworxTO is giving the spotlight to 52 emerging Toronto-based artists.
