ArtworxTO Spotlight: Jazel dela Paz

Meet this week’s #ArtworxTO’s Spotlight Emerging Artist Jazel dela Paz. Toronto-based artist and photographer Jazel dela Paz creates work of all kinds, through drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design, film, and photography. After growing up in Toronto and attending Wexford School for the Arts where she actively participated in art-related extracurriculars, her love and appreciation of art, and the art community grew tremendously.

Inspired by photographers on Instagram, she began to specialize in portrait photography with her work. Her style varies from soft and dreamy to neon lights and bold colours, frequently using prisms to play with light. Her work gained more recognition and her love for photography grew as she collaborated with other artists, photographers, and muses around Toronto. She aspires to represent people of all races, genders, and age, inspire others to become the best possible version of themselves, and help other creators pursue their passion.
