The box acknolwedges the past, present and future of Indigenous people and the land. The shadow beneath the Fancy Shawl Dancer's feet emulates the idea of time passin and movement. This reflects the importance of the path that was taken in order to survive. The florals grow out of her feet emphasizing strength, peace, protection, femininity, movement, identity, voice, love and truth.
