Description

Dragonflies are fast-flying protectors and pollinators that curtail the spread of malaria, yellow fever, dog heartworms, and tularemia. By eating mosquitoes, horse and deer flies, they reduce the use of pesticides that kill disease-spreading insects. Front: dragonfly preying a mosquito. Fire = solar energy dragonfly wings rely on for rapid maneuvering. Blue = air. Back: blue energy-lines present dragonflies as ecological signifiers of healthy & unhealthy fresh water.
