Our Home Our Communities is an art-based community engagement project exploring community members' ideas of what makes a home: a place of shelter, protection, refuge, comfort, family and community. Community members hereafter called “Artists in the making” draw co-relations of their idea of homes with location, land and physical structures, as we center those conversations on their sense and experiences of community/ies and belonging in Toronto. Participants will use recycled food boxes and other mixed media materials to create and re-create home and ideas of it. The final creations, will be part of a collective installation which will be exhibited at ArtworxTO Hub West .

MUSE Arts is an artist-run Community Arts Organization engaging communities meaningfully and actively in hands-on, high-quality arts education integrated to issues of Social Justice, community and peace building.

Leading Community Artist: Paola Gomez
