Next Kids On the Block

Mark Stoddart

Description

As a kid growing up in Scarborough, it has been Mark Stoddart's mission to give back to the community that raised him. Through a months-long collaboration between Mark and school-aged children living in some of Scarborough's most diverse neighbourhoods,

Spoken Soul Collective presents Next Kids on the Block.

This project brought Mark into the classroom environment at Robert Service Senior Public School and Tecumseh Senior Public School, to work with Scarborough students and encourage them to embrace where they live, who they are, and share their stories with their community and beyond!

With Mark's guidance, the children built confidence and resilience thorough the Arts during a time of upheaval and uncertainty. Throughout the year, many of these students have connected with friends and family through Scarborough Town Centre, a rare and special place where people can come together.

Students, BE BOLD, BE PROUD, BE BEAUTIFUL!
